More To Come...

Tuesday afternoon found us back on our rehearsal place where we completed our first cover song. We want to have more stuff to present for the next show and a cover of a favorite tune was a good idea before we lay our hands to new musical ideas, that would give birth to new songs. Of course we are not going to tell you which song we did, you going to find out yourself by coming to our next live. Speaking of forthcoming shows we are going to play in the next Indie Rock Festival 5 in Syros Island (Cyclades-Greece). More info about this would be available soon but we are nothing more than happy to play there simply because we will have the chance to swim in the great beaches of Syros Island :P. We will try to arrange some more shows for the summer, they say it is the season of live shows, we say it is the season of beers. If we can have them both it is a good deal.

Chapter III

Our first live show ended founding us happy and drunk at the end of the night so it should be a good one, right? We had a really good time up there (yeas on stage) and from what we have heard and seen the people attended the show had a great time as well. If you were there you can judge by yourselves and if not you still wait to hear those tunes by Mourning Star, right? This is the next step dudes, we have get to work to bring the music to your ears. Meanwhile we would like to share another big thank you to the two bands that played with us that night namely Universe217 and Stray Highways. It was a good shot guys and we want more.

We are in the process of collecting all the videos from the show, putting them together picking the stuff to be uploaded in here. It is very important for us to share our music around but since we have not finished the recordings of our first demo (?) the stuff from this live show can be a good reference. It is just a matter of -very little- time until you would be able to share with us the music and the picture (yeap this is called video). "Rising Of The Black Sun", "Vortex - Daughter Of The Stars", "Upon The Waves Of Sorrow" and "Mourning star" are the four songs we played and the four songs we have composed in total. For sure there will be more stuff to come, so stick to your guns :)

Chapter II

By the time you are reading those lines, we are already recording our first demo. We shall give it for free into our live shows, we are not good at descriptions but I guess if you like Doom Metal you will feel like home under the music of Mourning Star.

There is also the first show coming. 21th of May on Rethymno City. For those far away from Rethymno or Crete this could mean nothing. For us is our very first show and we would like to welcome everyone around. We are playing with Stray Highways and Universe217. The Strays are our local little heroes of Rock N Roll, as far as Universe217 well it is really difficult to get their stuff described on words so better listen to the music.

We hopefully going to film and record the show, so get ready for music and stuff online -tgether with the demo tracks-.

Chapter I

We have been messing with the new band for some months now, but now we guess it is the time we should start getting some stuff on the web chaos. After all we got something to present and yes this is our very first show that will happen in around one week, so start counting. The band started on Rethymno city, Crete, Greece. No big deal, it is that we wanted to fill our hours with some music. Jamming turned to songs and new songs will drive us on stage.

There was a pretty much of the "I have did it before" thing for all the members. Chris and Kostas were together on Ominous Sky, Manos on Rain Novelty, Giannis and Vaios on various local bands in Rethymno. So? Yes it is the same old story dudes...

Nikos from Bloodcult -hail- was fast enough so we have a log before we even have a demo. But the posters for the first show have to be designed...
